Village Revive: Cozy Idle

Privacy Policy

Effective 2026-10-08 / Operated by Cubesat

Privacy Policy

Village Revive ("the game") is an idle village-building game. You can play the whole game offline. When your device is online, the game sends a small amount of data to our server so your village can be backed up and moved to a new device. We never ask for your real name, email address, phone number, or contacts anywhere in the game. (You give your village a name, which is shown in the village ranking; see section 7.)

2. In-app purchases

If you buy "Remove Ads", we store the product ID, store transaction ID, store receipt, purchase path (purchase or restore), platform and time, so that we can restore your purchase on other devices, check for fraud and answer support requests. Payment itself (card details and so on) is handled by Google Play or the App Store, and we never receive your payment method. We keep these records until you delete your account. If a purchase is refunded or revoked, we receive that information from Google Play or the App Store, record it with your purchase, and turn Remove Ads off. If the refund is reversed, Remove Ads is turned back on. When you delete your account, we keep only a de-identified log of purchase checks (platform, product, the first 16 characters of the transaction number, the result and the time) so that refunds can still be handled; it is no longer linked to you.

3. Advertising

The game shows rewarded ads through Google AdMob and, via AdMob mediation, the networks listed below. Each may collect device information, IP address (approximate location) and, where permitted, your advertising identifier in order to serve and measure ads.

Google AdMob, Pangle (Bytedance), Unity Ads (Unity Technologies), Liftoff Monetize

You can reset or limit the advertising ID in your device settings. Users in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland are asked for consent through Google's consent message before personalized ads are shown.

4. iOS App Tracking Transparency

On iOS, after your first resident moves in, the game shows a short explanation with a single "Continue" button. When you tap it, iOS asks whether the game may track your activity across other companies' apps and websites. You can allow or decline in that iOS prompt; once you have answered it, it is never shown again. Until then, ads are not personalized. Only if you allow this is your advertising identifier (IDFA) shared with ad networks for personalized ads. The game plays exactly the same either way, and you can change your answer at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. Our servers never store advertising identifiers.

5. Push notifications

The game can send you notifications such as village news, updates, and a reminder when you have been away for a while, only if you allow them. It first explains this in the game, and the system permission prompt appears when you tap "Continue". If you allow notifications, we store your push notification token, game language and device time-zone offset so that notifications arrive in your language and never at night in your time zone. Notifications are sent only by our server; the game does not schedule notifications on your device. You can turn them off at any time in the game (Settings → Notifications) or in your device settings. When you turn them off in the game, the token is deleted from our server.

6. App performance diagnostics

To check service quality we record, when you open the game, how long the server took to respond, the result code, your network type (Wi-Fi or mobile data), your device's region setting (the country code in your language and region settings, which is not location data) and the game language. When the game starts, it also reports whether the previous session ended unexpectedly (with your device's memory size), and it sends error reports (the error message and device model) so we can fix crashes. We use this to see how well the service performs in each country. These records are kept until you delete your account.

7. Village ranking

When you complete a village, it appears on a village ranking for its difficulty level. Other players can see the village name, the time from founding the village to completing it, and its rank. The village name is the name you give it; if you leave it blank, we use your Google Play Games or Game Center nickname, or the first four characters of your account ID (for example "Sprout 7F3A"). You can change the name when you complete the village. Ranking entries are kept until you delete your account and are deleted along with it.

Inappropriate names are hidden automatically. You can report another village's name by tapping it in the ranking; a reported name is hidden on your screen right away, and names reported by several players are reviewed and hidden by us. Naming rules: vr-api.cubesat.co.kr/terms. You can also report a name to jh@cubesat.co.kr.

8. Sharing

We do not sell your data. Apart from the advertising partners above and the village ranking shown to other players (section 7), we do not share it with anyone unless the law requires it.

9. Storage and security

Data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and stored on our server in the Republic of Korea. We keep it until you delete it. For support, we also keep up to the 10 most recent backups of your village, and, when a village on our server is replaced by one from another device, a copy of the replaced village for up to 30 days (at most 30 copies). These are deleted along with your account. Our server's own database backups are overwritten within 14 days.

10. International transfer of personal data

Our game server is located in the Republic of Korea. If you play from outside Korea, your data is transferred to and processed in Korea.

    Republic of Korea

    Note:Where it goes

  • Data transferred

Guest account ID, village save data, language/platform/app version, linked Google Play Games or Game Center ID, push notification token, purchase records, gameplay and ad reward records, performance diagnostics

    Note:What is transferred

  • When and how

Sent while you play, over encrypted connections (HTTPS)

    Note:How it is transferred

  • Purpose

    Note:Why

  • Retention

    Until you delete your account

    Note:How long

Transfers from the European Economic Area rely on the European Commission's adequacy decision for the Republic of Korea (adopted 17 December 2021). You can refuse by deleting your account in Settings → Account → Delete account: that erases your data from our server, and your device stops contacting the server until you tap "Recreate account". Cloud save and device transfer need the server, but you can still play the whole game without it.

Ads and notifications are delivered by the partners below, which receive data directly from the game in their own countries.

  • Google AdMob (Google LLC, USA)

Device information, IP address (approximate location), advertising ID if permitted, and ad interactions, when an ad is loaded or shown

Purpose and retention:Serving and measuring ads. Kept under Google's policy

  • Pangle (Bytedance Pte. Ltd., Singapore)

    Same as above

Purpose and retention:Serving and measuring ads. Kept under Pangle's policy

  • Unity Ads (Unity Technologies, USA)

  • Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google LLC, USA) and APNs (Apple Inc., USA)

Push notification token, only if you allow notifications

Purpose and retention:Delivering notifications. Kept until you turn notifications off

To limit this, turn off personalized ads in your device settings (and on iOS, do not allow tracking), or turn notifications off in the game.

11. Deleting your data

In the game: Settings → Account → Delete account. This immediately deletes your account, cloud save, backups, village album photos, ranking entries and records from our server (except the de-identified purchase log in section 2). The village on your device is not affected. If you no longer have the game installed, you can request deletion at cubesat.co.kr/vr/delete-account.

12. Children

The game is not directed at children under 13 (under 14 in the Republic of Korea). We do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If we learn that such a child has given us personal information, we delete the account and its data.

13. Your rights and legal bases

We process your data to provide the game you asked for (cloud save, purchases, ranking), for our legitimate interests (security, diagnostics, balancing), and with your consent (personalized ads, notifications). You may request access to, correction, deletion or restriction of your data, ask for a copy, or object to processing, by emailing jh@cubesat.co.kr with the User ID shown in Settings; we answer within 10 days. You can also delete everything yourself (section 11) and complain to your local data protection authority.
